Window Operator, Lock, or Cover "Version"
-
What do we mean by "Version" ?
- A window operator, lock, or cover "Version" refers to how your part
compares to our drawing. If the part you need to replace looks identical
to our drawing in every way, then your part is the "As Shown" version.
However, if the part you need is identical, but the mirror opposite to our
drawing, then your part is the "Opposite" version. You can see
examples of this in the chart below.
-
Why don't we specify left-hand or
right-hand ? - When dealing with windows, the left or
right side changes depending on whether you're looking from the inside to
outside or from the outside to inside. Different manufacturers may also
differ on the point of view they use to determine left and right. Since we sell
replacement parts by many different manufacturers, specifying left-hand or
right-hand causes too many wrong parts to be ordered. We have found that
comparing the part you need to our drawing is a much more reliable method of
obtaining the correct part. Because of this situation, our staff
cannot help determine which part you need by specifying left-hand or
right-hand.
